The
volunteers of The Street Child Project are planning a fun day out for
the children at Sneha Child Development Centre. The English lessons have
been going well and the volunteers and kids have bonded over the last several months, so we've decided to add a fun event to our calender.
Date: 22 November 2014
Location: Independence Square & Ice Cream at KFC
Time: 3.30PM to 6.00PM
What we need: transport, we will be hiring 2, 10 seater vans (each
costs Rs. 700 one way) food packets for the kids made up of a sandwich,
small packet of biscuits, chocolate/smarties and a bottle of
drink/water. And anyone who would like to sponsor this event and/or join
us to make this day a special one for the kids at Sneha!
The Orphan Child Project aims to teach English to children in Orphanages and poverty stricken areas in and around Sri Lanka. We believe that the quality of education a person receives in early life is indispensable in bringing out that person’s potential, and that all children should have access to quality learning and care.
Hope through Education
“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” Stephen Grellet
